Rebel Race 2012

I should start by saying this. While, I truly believe in the power of working out and I give many pats on the back to those dedicated in the craft, I myself I'm not the most excercise-concious person. My idea of exercise is being on my feet all day in a kitchen and having to walk to and from work or school. I participate in sports. I run very occasionally, and I maintain a healthy weight by adding to my active lifestyle a healthy diet. Whether or not I am in shape for this "rebel race" is quite another story.


The race is 5K or about 3.1 miles. But, this is no ordinary race. In this endurance demanding competition, we are thrown into miles of mud and must complete military style obstacles from start to finish. And it should be, being sponsored by the marine corps itself! It will be dirty, smelly, and definitely the closet thing to a work-out my body has seen in a quite some time. On the other hand, I have been promised beer, BBQ, and live entertainment.




The date is Saturday, April 14th, 2012. I've thrown together some picture to substitute until I can get my own. Keep your figures crossed for me because I will definitely need it!
